Guidelines for Hearing God’s Voice

Guidelines for Hearing God’s Voice

“As you study your Bible, you may sense that God has something to say directly to you through the verses you are reading. Take a moment to consider the awesome reality that the God who spoke and created the universe is now speaking to you. If Jesus could speak and raise the dead, calm a storm, cast out demons, and cure the incurable, then what effect might a word from Him have upon your life?” Henry and Richard Blackaby

What is God saying at this hour? It seems in a time of international turbulence and confusion, we as God’s people must hear His voice. We need to know His agenda and plan for us. Jesus only did what  the Father desired. We must do the same. Many things will look good, but what does the Father want us to do? What is He saying to us?

Listening to God and hearing His voice is a daily experience. We need to be a people who have ears to hear what He is saying. We read in Revelation 3:22, “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

How can we put the brakes on and really learn to listen to God? There are certain basic things we must cultivate in our life that will help us. Here are several guidelines that will help you hear His voice as you seek Him in prayer.

“The Sovereign Lord has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed” (Isaiah 50:4).

Our Breakthrough Prayer for Unity

Our Breakthrough Prayer for Unity

“Unity is a revelation of the spirit of God that sees that only together can we get the results that God wants. I need my brother. I can’t do it alone. We must give ourselves away to one another and to Him. We must look at ourselves in a kingdom connection. It is in all of us, not one of us.” George Otis, Jr.

United prayer brings breakthrough. Where two or more agree about an issue they are asking God for, and ask according to God’s will and purpose, He answers. The word “agree” is “sympathy” in the Greek, and it means to sound together in harmony with one another concerning what God wants. Imagine the dynamic power released when whole churches come together to pray in a city. The Church has the authority to facilitate God’s will and purposes on the earth.

There is power in togetherness. When we pray together we encourage one another, and our own burdens seem to lighten. Our faith is ignited and we become stronger spiritually. We have experienced a change in our personal lives because of corporate prayer.

Getting a group of Christians to pray together is hard work. Nobody ever said it would be easy. But the worth far surpasses anything any one of us could do alone. We need one another. Isn’t it time that we learn this simple truth? Isn’t this the season that we should finally join forces and take back the nations for God and His Kingdom? The urgency of this time cries out for it. God invites us to enter His heart for united prayer and breakthrough unity. We are in Kingdom connection and need one another. This animated video will motivate you to pray this breakthrough prayer for unity.

Preparing the Way for God’s Presence

Preparing the Way for God’s Presence

“In every revival in history we read a similar testimony.  When God responded to His people by sending His presence. He didn’t just work Himself into their routine religion – He overtook them by His power and glory!  He left a trail of glorious chaos in His wake – weeping, repenting, rejoicing, reconciling, changing of habits, healing of families! Nobody wondered if Jesus was involved in these meetings.  There was no doubt in their minds and no lack in their hearts.” Rhonda Hughey

God wants to invade our cities with His glorious and powerful presence. He wants to overtake our lives and change our plans and routines so that they are fully in line with His purposes.

We must ask ourselves: “Do I seek to obey God in every area of our life?  Do we declare war on all compromise?”This is the test. We are made for personal holiness and to intimately know God. He wants our hearts and a life of complete obedience so that we are perfect and complete, not lacking anything (James 1:4)

Let’s make quality decisions for holiness and let God challenge our motives. Let’s learn to treasure His presence above all else as we realize deep in our hearts the truth of John 15:5, “Without me you can do nothing.”This animated video will help you to personally to prepare the way for God’s presence.

How to Break Through in Faith

How to Break Through in Faith

“Today, as much as at any time, we need men of great faith and men who are great in prayer. These are the two chief virtues that make men great in the eyes of God. These two things create conditions of real spiritual success in the life and work of the church. It is our main concern to see that we keep this kind of quality faith before God. This kind of faith grasps and holds in its keeping the things for which it asks without doubt and fear.” E. M. Bounds

In your life situation, you may be at the threshold point of breakthrough in faith. God has the resurrection power to break through every obstacle you face. He is the key to breakthrough.

Jesus’ death and resurrection was the greatest place of breakthrough. He broke through every power of darkness when He died on the cross. His resurrection is the key to all power and all victory against the enemy attacks we face today. We can walk in great faith without fear because our King has already won the battle at the cross.

We will come to this choice of breakthrough in faith again and again in our lives. What do you need to do in order to see the breakthrough and touch the God of the breakthrough today? This animated video will give you keys that will help release your faith and unlock the door to breakthrough in your life.

A Prayer for the Discouraged

A Prayer for the Discouraged

“Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God” (Psalm 42:11).

Do you ever feel discouraged? We all do at one time or another. We live in a world that is filled with darkness and difficulty, and we are trying to bring God’s Kingdom to earth through our prayers and through our lives. Gloomy feelings can overwhelm us when we are emotionally down, but we need to realize that even the greatest of saints got discouraged. Did you know that famous preachers like Charles Spurgeon and mighty evangelists like Billy Graham got discouraged?

I heard the story that one day the devil was auctioning off his tools. They were highly priced – laziness, pride, hate, envy, and jealousy. One tool was not for sale. One person asked, “Why is that tool not for sale?” Satan whispered:

“I can’t afford to get rid of that one. It’s my chief tool – discouragement! I can pry open any heart with that tool, and once I’m inside, I can do anything I want!”

Everyone will encounter the devil’s tool of discouragement, but we can’t live in that dark place. We must learn to resist the devil and trust in God’s deliverance.

Maybe you are going through discouragement today. This live prayer can help you rise up in new hope and joy.
